KNF-108A UV COD Sensor – Reagent-Free, Self-Cleaning, MODBUS, Measures COD, TOC & Turbidity

KNF-108A UV COD Sensor – Reagent-Free, Self-Cleaning, MODBUS, Measures COD, TOC & Turbidity

2026-04-07

Measure Organic Pollution—Without Chemicals or Waste
Traditional COD analyzers rely on toxic reagents (potassium dichromate, mercury sulfate), high-temperature digestion, and frequent maintenance—making them expensive, hazardous, and unsuitable for remote sites.
The KNF-108A online COD sensor eliminates these drawbacks with advanced UV absorption technology. It delivers continuous, real-time measurement of chemical oxygen demand (COD), total organic carbon (TOC), turbidity, and temperature—without reagents, without pollution, and without interruption.
Perfect for municipal wastewater plants, river monitoring, industrial discharge compliance, and smart water networks.

Measurement Principle: Dual-Wavelength UV Absorption
Organic compounds in water absorb ultraviolet (UV) light at specific wavelengths. The KNF-108A leverages this principle with a dual-light-source optical system:
UV Light (254 nm): Measures total UV absorption by organic pollutants
Visible Reference Light (550 nm): Quantifies interference from suspended solids and color
By comparing both signals, the sensor automatically compensates for turbidity and color effects, delivering stable, drift-free COD and TOC readings even in dirty or variable water conditions.
